Check your vocabulary (Intermediate -Advanced)



Stance – an attitude or view about an issue that you state clearly
Molar – one of the large teeth at the back of your mouth, used for chewing food. The four pointed teeth towards the front of your mouth are called canines and the front teeth between your canines are called incisors.
Peat – a type of soil consisting of decaying plants that can also be used as fuel.
Solvency – a situation in which you have enough money to pay your bills and other debts.
Slumber – sleep
Lush – a lush plant looks very green and healthy
Savo(u)r – to enjoy the flavor of something as much as you can by eating or drinking it slowly
Towering – much taller than surrounding people or things
Thud – a low sound made by something heavy falling
Bliss – complete happiness
Brood – to think and worry about something a lot
Pyre – a high pile of wood for burning a dead body in a funeral ceremony
Writhe – to move by twisting and turning, especially when you feel a lot of pain
Gluttonous – eating or drinking much more than you need
Staggering – extremely surprising
Slit - a long thin cut
